Notes about my school project

Additional Notes

Since I happen to have completed school,
as a school student_batch_1997, from Johnson Grammar School,
my final project thesis title was => Nuclear Disarmament: and cultural issues involving Energy Storage,
for S.U.P.W (socially useful project work).

After the end_of_ninth_class, we had gone on a field trip, to Vizag_beach, and Borra Caves,
and that was when_and_where, I had realized that => "wind energy, makes ocean waves happen".

I had a computer at school, to calculate the value of pi,
however,  I did not have access to example reports of "gravity waves",
so, I could not turn in my project thesis, as a school student.

Recently, thanks to Sabine Hossenfelder on twitter,
I came across, a video link example of gravity waves, which I'll _upload_ below, myself.

Since my father had worked, and retired, as a Scientist-G, at NGRI,
I already, knew about gravity_waves,
and gravitational_waves (in the context of Interstellar movie),
sometime, early 1997.

In some ways, this completes the project, that I was to turn in, as a school student.  OK.

Also in the context of Halley's comet, I am including, the following two videos, because I had been to Germany,
as a child, age_five, early 1987, while my father was working on a science collaboration, with Max Mueller Institute . . .  OK.
And I visited again in 2006, near Cologne, and it was beautiful and enchanting . . .

Since the data about the problems with Nuclear Energy,
might go away, if people don't want it to be easily accessible,
I'll upload a back up, just in case . . .

Around 2004, I had joined Tata Institute of Fundamental Research,
with an interest in Thorium based Electricity supply, for heavy Industry,  . . .
and after getting into some trouble, for pointing out design flaws,  . . . around the beginning of 2005,
a letter was sent in 2007, by the Chemistry Department, . . .

Are We Getting Closer to Thorium Nuclear Fuel?

A look back at the Molten Salt Reactor Experiment
https://www.ornl.gov/blog/ornl-review/look-back-molten-salt-reactor-experiment

"ORNL's Molten Salt Reactor Experiment operated more than 13,000 hours during its four-year run in the mid- to late 1960s. A priority of long-serving lab director Alvin Weinberg, MSRE was noteworthy at least in part because it ran on fuel that circulated through the reactor rather than staying put in the core."

Nuclear power was headed for something of a resurgence a few years back, but then the 2011 meltdown at Japan's Fukushima reactor happened. Governments and investors around the world got cold feet, but there's now renewed interest in a type of nuclear power that's potentially much safer. A team from the Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group (NRG) the Netherlands has built the first molten salt reactor powered by thorium in decades."

 . . . while growing up, I was informed,
that the school was named after Samuel Johnson, an 18th_century lexicographer.

And though I was involved in pointing out that the tsunami of 33_plus_feet may happen in the future,

And later, that I like "A Gentle Breeze in the Village (2007)" movie.

""  In 2007, TEPCO set up a department to supervise its nuclear facilities. Until June 2011, its chairman was Masao Yoshida, the Fukushima Daiichi chief. A 2008 in-house study identified an immediate need to better protect the facility from flooding by seawater. This study mentioned the possibility of tsunami-waves up to 10.2 meters (33 ft). Headquarters officials insisted that such a risk was unrealistic and did not take the prediction seriously.

Yukinobu Okamura of the Active Fault and Earthquake Research Center (replaced in 2014 by the Research Institute of Earthquake and Volcano Geology (IEVG)], Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ)), AIST) urged TEPCO and NISA to revise their assumptions for possible tsunami heights upwards, based on his team's findings about the 869 Sanriku earthquake, but this was not seriously considered at the time.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission warned of a risk of losing emergency power in 1991 (NUREG-1150) and NISA referred to that report in 2004, but took no action to mitigate the risk.

Warnings by government committees, such as one in the Cabinet Office in 2004, that tsunamis taller than the maximum of 5.6 meters (18 ft) forecast by TEPCO and government officials were possible, were also ignored.  ""
